Privacy policy

If you are a customer, newsletter subscriber, or website visitor, you entrust me with your personal data. I am responsible for their protection and security. Please familiarize yourself with the data protection principles and rights you have in relation to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Who is the data controller

I am Katerina Roubalova Jagelsova, 15 Norn Hill, Basingstoke, and I operate the website www.katerinaroubalova.com. I process your personal data as the controller, which means I determine how your personal data will be processed, for what purpose, and for how long, and I select any additional processors who will assist me with the processing.

Contacts information

If you wish to contact me during the processing of your personal data, you can reach me at +44 7367 842242 or via email at katka@katerinaroubalova.com.

Decaration

I declare that, as the controller of your personal data, I comply with all legal obligations required by applicable legislation, particularly the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR. This means that I will only process your personal data on a valid legal basis, mainly legitimate interest, performance of the contract, legal obligation, or consent; I fulfill my information duty under Article 13 of GDPR before starting the processing of personal data; and I will support you in exercising your rights under the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

Scope of Personal Data and Purposes of Processing

I process the personal data you provide to me for the following reasons (to fulfill these purposes):

• Providing Services and Fulfilling the Contract: Your personal data in the scope of email and name are necessary for fulfilling the contract (e.g., sending the purchased ebook).

• Accounting: If you are a customer, I need your personal data (billing information) to comply with legal obligations for issuing and recording tax documents.

• Marketing – Sending Newsletters: I use your personal data (email and name), gender, what you click on in the email, and when you most often open them for direct marketing – sending commercial messages. If you are a customer, I do so based on legitimate interest, as I reasonably assume you are interested in our news, for a period of 3 years from the last order. If you are not a customer, I send you newsletters only based on your consent, for a period of 3 years from granting it. In both cases, you can revoke this consent using the unsubscribe link in each sent email.

Cookies

When browsing my website, I record your IP address, how long you stay on the page, and from which page you come. I consider the use of cookies to measure website traffic and customize the display of web pages as my legitimate interest as the controller, as I believe I can offer you even better services thanks to them. Cookies for targeting ads will be processed only based on your consent. You can browse my website in a mode that does not allow the collection of personal data. You can disable the use of cookies on your computer.

Data Security and Protection

I protect personal data to the maximum possible extent using modern technologies that correspond to the level of technical development. I protect them as if they were my own. I have taken and maintain all possible (currently known) technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, damage, or destruction of your personal data.

Transferring Personal Data to Third Parties

To ensure specific processing operations that I cannot provide on my own, I use the services and applications of processors who can protect data even better than I can and specialize in such processing. These are the providers of the following platforms: MailerLite, FAPI. It is possible that in the future I may decide to use other applications or processors to facilitate and improve processing. However, I promise that in such a case, I will place the same demands on the security and quality of processing on the processor as I do on myself. Data is processed exclusively within the European Union or in countries that provide an adequate level of protection based on a decision of the European Commission.

Your Rights Regarding Personal Data Protection

In relation to the protection of personal data, you have several rights. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact me via email at katka@katerinaroubalova.com. These rights include:

• Right to Information: This is fulfilled by this information page with the principles of personal data processing.

• Right of Access: You can ask me at any time, and within 10 days I will provide you with information about what personal data I process and why.

• Right to Rectification and Completion: If something changes for you or you find your personal data outdated or incomplete, you have the right to request the correction or completion of personal data.

• Right to Restriction of Processing: You can use this right if you believe that I am processing your inaccurate data, if you believe that the processing is illegal but do not want all data deleted, or if you have objected to the processing.

• Right to Data Portability: If you would like to take your personal data and transfer it to someone else, I will proceed in the same way as when exercising the right of access – with the difference that I will send you the information in a machine-readable format. This will take at least 14 days.

• Right to Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten): You have the right to be forgotten. If you wish, I will delete all your personal data from my system and from the system of all partial processors and backups within 14 days. In some cases, I am bound by a legal obligation, for example, I have to keep issued tax documents for the period specified by law. In this case, I will delete all such personal data that is not bound by another law. I will inform you about the completion of the deletion via email.

• Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): If you believe that I am not handling your data in accordance with the law, you have the right to file a complaint with the ICO at any time. I would appreciate it if you first inform me about this suspicion so I can address it and correct any mistakes.

Unsubscribing from Newsletters and Commercial Messages

I send you emails with inspiration, articles, or products and services if you are my customer based on my legitimate interest. If you are not yet a customer, I send them to you only based on your consent. In both cases, you can end the subscription to my emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in each sent email.

Confidentiality

I assure you that my employees and associates who will process your personal data are obliged to maintain confidentiality about personal data and security measures whose disclosure would jeopardize the security of your personal data. This confidentiality obligation continues even after the end of contractual relations with me. Without your consent, your personal data will not be disclosed to any other third party.
